ER, SER observe Constitution Day

Eastern Railway observed Constitution Day throughout its jurisdiction today. Officers and staff at Eastern Railway headquarters, led by Sheelendra Pratap Singh, Additional General Manager, Eastern Railway read the Preamble to the Constitution on this occasion. Officers and staff at Eastern Railway headquarters read out the Preamble of the Constitution to reaffirm our commitment to uphold the ideologies of the Indian Constitution which is the world’s greatest written Constitution.

Zarina Firdausi, Principal Chief Personnel Officer and other Principal Head of the Department of Eastern Railway were also present and read the preamble on the occasion.

The Preamble of the Constitution was also read by officers and staff of different divisions & workshops of Eastern Railway, led by the concerned Divisional Railway Managers and Chief Workshop Managers.

Constitution Day was also observed at South Eastern Railway headquarters, Garden Reach to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, today. Anil Kumar Mishra, General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Soumitra Majumdar, Additional General Manager, Principal Head of the Departments, Senior Officers and Staff read out the Preamble to the Constitution of India. Constitution Day was also observed at all the divisional offices of South Eastern Railway viz. Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi.
